The Alumni Services and Placement Office (ASPO) shall be responsible for the administration of key programs for students and alumni services of the university. Its priority concerns shall be focused on providing programs and facilities for student/alumni services; providing current and relevant information about the organizations of the various alumni groups of the Arellano University; and coordination of a range services in support of university initiatives for alumni welfare, as well as independent activities of AU alumni groups and their respective organizations.

P.D.577 (DEPENDENT OF AFP PERSONNEL WHO DIED IN LINE OF DUTY)

This scholarship is granted to children of personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who died in line of duty. To continue qualifying for the privilege, the student must not have any failing grade or dropped subjects at any time while enjoying the privilege.

A student's continued study in the University is based on the cumulative General Weighted Average (GWA) of grades in all subjects in the approved academic load during a semester or term, including PE and NSTP / ROTC. The National Service Training Program (NSTP consists of the following components: (a) Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC), (b) Literacy Training Service (LTS), and (c) Civic Welfare Training Service (CWTS). Each of these component trainings shall be undertaken within two semesters only.

The subjects to be taken (academic load) in a semester or term and the sequencing or these subjects shall be in accordance with the approved curriculum for the program or course of study. An exemption may be allowed however to the best interest of the student, provided it is in accordance with the objectives of the educational system.

Taking of subjects in advance is not allowed. No credit shall be given to a subject taken ahead of any prerequisite subject. (For more details, please see the Student Handbook.)

As a general rule, Arellano University allows its students a maximum term of academic residency of six (6) school years for a four-year course, and seven (7) years for a five-year course. During this maximum term of residency, which is inclusive of summer classes, leaves of absence, and course shifting, the student must complete his/her course and obtain his/her degree or diploma. The term of residency starts from the date of admission/ registration until graduation and/or conferment of degree.

Students enrolled in any of the colleges or institutes of the University, whatever their course may be, are classified by year level based on the curricular requisites and in accordance with the degree program they are pursuing. Thus, First Year students are classified as Freshmen (Level 1), Second Year students are classified as Sophomores (Level 2), Third Year students are classified as Juniors (Level 3), and Fourth Year students are classified as Seniors (Level 4). Students who are in the Firth Year of their courses are classified as Terminal (Level 5).
