Since the year 2017, the Junior High School (JHS) Arellano University Legarda Campus Community Development (ComDev) group, headed by Mr. Faisal Mansor, has been actively serving the children in Brgy. 409, Zone 22, Lardizabal, Sampaloc, Manila.
Two times a year, the ComDev group has been promoting consumption of nutritious food and providing school materials to the children of the community. But the pandemic prevented the group to do this project for the last two years.
However, due to the recent lowering of Covid restrictions in Metro Manila, the group was able to conduct a feeding activity on May 20, 2022 to children 7 to 10 years old, some parents and some senior citizens in the barangay. Nutritious porridge and snacks were served by the ComDev group with the assistance of the JHS Family Council headed by its president Ms. Maricel de la Cruz. Also present in the activity are the Brgy. Chairwoman Brenda Puertollano and Brgy. Kagawad Gerry Aguvida.
The ComDev group was composed of Mr. Faisal Mansor, AU JHS ComDev Coordinator; faculty members Ms. Pamela Ayala, Ms. Natalie Mendoza and Ms. Marianne Valdez.
