Kamustahan Tayo!: Teaching in the New Normal

Arellano University conducted its "Kamustahan Tayo! :Teaching in the New Normal" webinar last Sunday, October 4,2020 at 4:00 PM via Facebook live on the Arellano University Official page as a way to celebrate this year's World Teachers' Day. The event was hosted and moderated by Mr. John Jesus Manuel, a Senior High School teacher of Arellano University.

Parental Webinar: Supporting Children’s Online Classes

Arellano University (AU), in its mission to provide quality education, held its very first Parental Webinar for the parents of the Pre-school to Junior High school students last 13 September 2020, Sunday.

The COVID-19 outbreak has significantly altered both social norms and operations of our institution. From enrollment, to conducting of classes, to extra-curricular activities, the new norm is observed with social distancing and strict sanitation practices. The outbreak has called for changes in our everyday lives, yet not with the requirements students are expected to fulfill.

The Business Administration team showed its prowess in basketball when they emerged winner over AU Pasay, the defending champion, in the fiercely fought final game of the Inter-Collegiate Intramurals 2020 held at the AU Gym on February 21, 2020. In volleyball, AU Pasay defeated the Tourism and Hospitality (AU Main) team .

In basketball, Benedict Hopilena was awarded Most Valuable Player, and Mr. Bismarck Bustonera, Best Coach.

Twenty-five HRM and tourism students from Arellano University (AU) Main Campus attended the In-Flight  Training Course at the Suan Dusit University(SDU) in Hua Hin, Thailand on January 5-25, 2020. The students were accompanied by two faculty members, Ms. Ma. Lourdes Tagana and Mr. Rick Jayson Prepose.

The training was conducted inside the Mock Room, which was equipped with facilities found inside an airplane. The students learned the activities and duties of flight attendants such as first aid, how to handle guests and what to do in case of emergencies-such as a plane crash.

For having been granted the First Doctor of Education Program Level III Re-Accredited Status in the National Capital Region, Arellano University will receive an award from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).
The award will be given during the celebration of the Commission’s 46th founding year which will be held on December 2, 2019 at the Novotel Manila,  Araneta Center in Cubao, Quezon City at 1:50 PM.  

The organization’s 30th Annual General Assembly will also be held during the occasion.
