Connecting Compassion and Action: Arellano University and Philippine Red Cross Partner for Humanitarian Service

Manila, Philippines — In a shared commitment to fostering humanitarian service and disaster resilience, Arellano University officially signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Red Cross, establishing a strategic partnership dedicated to promoting health, safety, volunteerism, and community engagement across all AU campuses.

The signing was led by AU Chairman and CEO Mr. Francisco Paulino V. Cayco and Philippine Red Cross Secretary General Dr. Gwendolyn T. Pang. The agreement formalizes both institutions' dedication to promoting health, safety, disaster preparedness, volunteerism, and active community engagement across the university.

Through this partnership, Arellano University and the Philippine Red Cross will collaborate on initiatives centered on disaster preparedness, first aid and health education, voluntary blood donation drives, and active youth volunteerism. The programs aim to equip AU students, faculty, and staff with essential life-saving skills while providing actionable avenues to serve local communities.

Arellano University extends its heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Pang for taking the initiative to establish this collaboration, as well as to Chairman Cayco for his full support of programs that prioritize student development, welfare, and civic responsibility.

With the MOA officially signed, the university is preparing to launch joint programs designed to empower the entire AU community to lead with compassion, preparedness, and active civic involvement.
