Arellano University – Pasig Campus alumnus John Kristoff DC. Medina brought home a bronze medal from the 5th JJAU Regional Championship Southeast Asia, held from August 21 to 23, 2026.
Stepping onto the international stage for the very first time, Medina represented the Philippines in the high-octane U21 62 KG Male Gi Division. Facing off against the region’s premier martial artists, he demonstrated technical precision, resilience, and unwavering composure throughout a series of tough matches to secure his spot among the division's top medalists.
Medina’s accomplishment reflects a remarkable journey of athletic development rooted in his alma mater. Having spent his formative academic years at AU Pasig from elementary all the way through Senior High School, his transition from a home-grown student-athlete to an international bronze medalist stands as an inspiring example of grit, discipline, and perseverance.
The entire Chiefs community salutes John Kristoff for his outstanding achievement, sportsmanship, and dedication to carrying both the national colors and the university's banner with pride on the global stage.
