If energy could win championships, AU already holding the trophy. Under the vibrant theme of "Victory Through Unity," the university proudly hosted its Grand Pep Rally 2025 on Monday afternoon at the AU Gymnasium. The event was a spectacular celebration, marked by unstoppable cheers and unwavering support from the entire community of CHIEFS.
The annual pep rally brought together students, alumni, fans, and, most importantly, the AU athletes themselves, creating a dazzling display of school pride and unity. Spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), under the leadership of the dedicated Dean Sherwin Punla, the event was hosted by Ms. Krizel Mie Yano, President of the Arellano University Supreme Student Council (AUSSC), and Mr. Prince Esguerra, OSA Coordinator for the Plaridel Campus. The event set the tone for an exciting NCAA Season 101.
It started with the powerful rhythms of the Drum Chiefs, instantly energizing the crowd and setting a dynamic atmosphere that resonated throughout the gymnasium. This was followed by the inspiring opening remarks of Ms. Abegail Cayco-Lee, Assistant Vice President for Marketing, who expressed her gratefulness for that event. "Kahit na umuulan sa labas, andito parin tayo para ipakita ang suporta ng chiefs sa bawat isa!" she declared passionately. She also pointed out that as a CHIEFS, we stand together not only as athlete and students but as one proud community. She expands in her remarks that athletes carry more than just the weights of their jerseys, they carry the standards of what it means to be true CHIEFS - discipline in sports, excellent in academics and honorable in character.
Following her heartwarming remarks, Ms. Joy Apolonio, Senior Assistant Athletic Director, took the stage to introduce the athletes and coaches from various team events. These included the AU Drum Chiefs, AU Chiefs Squad, Junior Women’s and Men’s Badminton Teams, Junior and Senior Chess Teams, Junior Women’s and Men’s Taekwondo Teams, Junior Women’s and Men’s Swimming Teams, Junior Men’s Track and Field Team, Junior Boys Volleyball Team, Men’s Volleyball Team, Women’s Volleyball Team, Junior Basketball Team, and lastly, the Men’s Basketball Team. Each team energized the crowd with enthusiastic performances, highlighting their dedication and passion.
Ms. Apolonio also shared a recap of the impressive achievements earned by AU CHIEFS athletes during NCAA Season 100, expressing her hopes that the team will exceed these accomplishments in the upcoming NCAA Season 101.

- Taekwondo (Men’s): 2nd

- Volleyball (Women’s): 3rd
- Beach Volleyball (Men’s): 5th
- Beach Volleyball (Women’s): 6th

As the pep rally concluded, the message was clear and powerful: the success of Arellano University’s athletes and the pride of the entire Arellano community—lies not just in individual strength but in their unity.
To all members of the Arellano community: let us continue to show our unwavering support and electrify the stands with our cheers as the CHIEFS take on NCAA Season 101. Together, let’s prove that Victory isn’t just earned by strength—it’s earned through unity!
