The Return of the Toque of the Town

After 2years of absence, the Toque of the Town of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management (SHTM) of the Jose Abad Santos Campus (JAS Campus) comes back with a bang! on April 18-19, 2023. Held at the JAS Campus Quadrangle, the students of the college department and the Senior High School participated in the selection of the King and Queen of the Regional Festival, compete in the skills competition and ran booths selling artifacts and food.

The first competition featured regional festival dance, including cultural dances sinulog, kawayan, niyogyugan, kadayawan, and manggahan. Other contest include pahiyas, sinulog,Panagbenga, pintados, kadayawan, dinagyang and maskara festival. The skills competition featured napkin folding, flower arrangement, domestic and international tour guiding, table set up, cocktail mixing, flair bartending, basic flight attendant demo, quiz bee, and several other food and drinks preparation.

Mr. Lemuel Ritchie Cervantes, Officer-in-charge of the SHTM gave the welcome remarks; guest speakers in the affair were the Hon. Jude Acidre of the Tingog Party List, and former Dean of SHTM, Dr. Florenitte De Guzman.
