The Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE) national passing rate of 74.94%, Arellano University (AU) Andres Bonifacio (Pasig) Campus led the pack of AU first-time takers with a 100% passing performance, followed by Juan Sumulong (Legarda) Campus with 88.64% passing rate, and Jose Abad Santos (Pasay) Campus with 87.54% passing rate.

A total of 189 nursing graduates from the three campuses of AU took the exam on May 26 – 29, 2023. Of this number 63 are first takers and 126 are repeaters. The over-all performance of AU in the licensure exam is 91.67% for Pasig Campus, 80.16% for Legarda Campus and 66.67% for Pasay Campus.

Likewise, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) also announced the results of the Philippine Nurses Special Professional Licensure Examination given in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Kuwait; Al-Khobar, Jeddah and Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Doha, Qatar; Bahrain and Singapore last April 2023 with the national passing average of 67.09%. Legarda Campus reported 100% passing rate (or 2 out of 2) for first takers, with an overall performance of 78.57%. (or 22 out of 28), while Pasay Campus obtained overall performance of 75% (or 6 out of 8, with no first takers); and Pasig Campus, with overall performance of 50% (or 3 out of 6, with no first takers) respectively.

It is interesting to note that the BSN Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP) graduates obtained a 100% passing performance (or 21 out of 21 first takers) in this year’s NLE. Adding to the good performance, there were even ETEEAP students landing to the top 17th, 22nd, & 24th standing. ETEEAP is a program where a student can earn Bachelor’s degree in a year through equivalency process that is validated by their clinical work experiences, and re-aligned academic courses.

As categorically stated by Ms. Leonora P. Borromeo, Program Chair of the College of Nursing, "This is a clear indication that we have proven our program as substantial in attaining its goal in sealing certainty and confidence in all our academic subjects in the College of Nursing."
