The College of Criminal Justice Education is a dynamic and significant institution in Arellano University that provides relevant and responsive education in the rapidly changing fields of criminology and criminal justice. Its mission is to provide the community with professionally competent, physically fit and morally upright graduates who can deliver efficient and effective services in criminology, law enforcement, crime prevention, crime detection and investigation, industrial security management, forensic sciences and correctional administration.

Course content

This course is a 4-year college degree program intended for individuals who wish to have a career in the fields of law enforcement, security administration, crime detection and prevention or correctional administration. This course is comprised of CHED mandated general education subjects, profession-related courses and 2-phase practicum or On-The-Job Training (OJT).

Goals and Objectives

  1. Prepare the students for careers in crime prevention, law enforcement, scientific crime detection and correctional administration.
  2. Provide the students the basic and fundamental concepts and skills in the various law disciplines applicable in the proper and efficient attainment of the Criminal Justice System Process;
  3. Fosters the values of leadership, integrity, accountability and responsibility while serving their fellowmen, community and country.
  4. Develop the student’s communication skills vital to their continuous acquisition and use of interactive activities with the community they may be destined to live and serve.
  5. Promote health, physical fitness and sportsmanship by providing training in the art of self-defense and marksmanship; and
  6. Encourage research and inquiry on the nature, causes treatment or punishment of criminal behavior and how criminal justice agencies respond to crime, criminals and victims.
