The Faculty Development Committee of Arellano University, headed by AVP Ma. Paz Magsalin held the 2nd Annual Seminar-Workshop and Teambuilding for Academic Administrators on July 11-12, 2019 at the La Virginia Resort, Mataas na Kahoy, Batangas City.
The occasion was graced with the presence of Mr. Francisco Paulino V. Cayco, Chairman and CEO, who, in his message, set the directions the university is taking for School Year 2019-2020 and beyond; Dr. Florentino Cayco, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees who sponsored the venue; Atty. Frederick Dedace, Vice President for Human Resources, who discussed HR concerns and updates; Dr. Maria Teresa Rivera, who gave an in-depth presentation on Academic issues and updates; and Atty. Roland Niedo, University Registrar who discussed Registration concerns and updates.
Attended by the AVPs, Deans, Program Chairs and other officers of the college departments of five AU campuses, the group came up with a Faculty Development Plan, a Consolidated Development Plan, a Consolidated Operational Plan and a Consolidated Action Plan.
The gathering also gave the faculty heads the opportunity to meet their counterparts in the other campuses. Breaks in the serious discussions featured games, a bingo session and raffle which enlivened the two-day affair.
