AU Pasig City Campus Donates Hygiene Kits to Partner Barangays

Hygiene kits, mostly donated by Senior High School (SHS) students of the A. Bonifacio High School (ABHS) through a collaboration with SHS Work Immersion teachers, were donated to partner barangays in Pasig City and Taytay, Rizal. The kits contain alcohol, face masks and soap.

On June 21, 2022 the AU group headed by ABHS Principal, Ms. Harlene Rose Mamiit and Assistant Principal Gerardo Lavin, turned over the hygiene kits to the barangay captains of Barangay Dolores; Barangay San Juan and Barangay Sta. Ana in Taytay, Rizal. It is noteworthy that the Barangay Captain Allan Martinez of Bgy. Dolores has been elected Mayor of Taytay, ensuring a more meaningful relationship with the town.

The following day, the ABHS group gave the kits to the barangay captains of Bgy. Camiogan, Bgy. Sagad, Bgy. Rosario and Bgy. Pinagbuhatan. The donation group included Ms. Ma. Ravin Remollano, Digicom Point Person Marc Valdez and Asst. Principal Gerardo Lavin.

In addition to the hygiene kit donation, the groups took the opportunity to promote ABHS to the communities involved. On a positive note, the barangay captains allowed the donor team to hang the ABHS enrolment tarpaulin in the barangay hall or in suitable places in the barangay hall area.

Further, through the help of the barangay captains, a meeting with tricycle drivers plying the town was made possible, with the tricycle drivers agreeing to display the ABHS enrollment tarpaulins in their vehicle.
