Jean Clarisse C. Unlayao, Magna cum laude and Class Valedictorian, will lead 1840 candidates for graduation of Arellano University in its 80th Commencement Exercises at the Philippine Convention Center on April 14, 2018. She is a Bachelor of Arts student, major in Psychology from the Jose Abad Santos Campus- AU in Pasay City. In the Graduate School Department Joycelyn P. Reyes, Master of Arts in Education, graduates With Highest Honors. Of this number, 162 are graduating under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
The Leadership Award goes to Herelyn E. Egbalic, from AU Main Campus, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, major in Marketing Management student. Eight students will receive Loyalty Awards. The graduation ceremony will be divided into a morning and afternoon affair. The Main Campus, Juan Sumulong Campus-AU in Legarda, will hold its ceremony from 8am to 12nn. The following schools will have their ceremony from 1pm to 5pm: Plaridel Campus-AU in Mandaluyong City; Jose Rizal Campus-AU in Malabon City; Jose Abad Santos Campus-AU in Pasay City; and Andres Bonifacio Campus-AU in Pasig City.
An alumna of the AU School of Law, Judge Jean Marie Bacorro-Villena is the Guest Speaker in the morning ceremony. She is presently the Presiding Judge in RTC Branch 28 in the City of Manila, at the same time a member of the faculty of the AU School of Law. The Guest Speaker in the afternoon is the Honorable Mayor Richard Icasiano Gomez of Ormoc City, Leyte. An accomplished sportsman and athlete and a multi-awarded actor, Mayor Gomez is an alumnus of Jose Abad Santos High School, Class 1983.
