2 +2 Study Pathway to Edith Cowan University, Perth, Australia

By admin, 5 September, 2022

In its effort to provide INP students with more international pathway options, AU entered into an articulation agreement with Edith Cowan University (ECU) in 2009. ECU is a premier university located in the thriving city of Perth, Western Australia. Its nursing program is recognized and awarded for its innovative simulation program and its state-of-the-art laboratories. ECU also has an established support system for international students, having catered to students from 70 nations.

The agreement between AU and ECU involves the completion of the first two years in the INP. The students become eligible to transfer to ECU, where they have to study for two years. Upon transfer, the students are given an orientation for international students before they are integrated into the mainstream of ECU nursing classes and activities. When the students complete the two-year program at ECU, they earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Arellano University’s Australian partner school, ECU, and gain qualification to become registered nurses in Australia. ECU has two intakes for its nursing program. Students can transfer either in February or in July.

The first batch of INP students transferred to ECU in February 2011. Since then, a growing number of INP students have taken this pathway to ECU.
