Arellano Chiefsquad Extends Legacy with Seven-Peat Title in NCAA 101 Cheerleading Tilt

The Arellano University Chiefsquad reigned supreme once more, reaffirming their dominance on the mat after securing their historic seventh consecutive title and eighth overall championship on March 12 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

They remain the only team in NCAA cheerleading history to achieve a seven-peat since the competition’s inception in 2004.

Improving on last year’s performance, the Chiefsquad posted a commanding score of 231.0 points, surpassing their previous total of 218.0. A clean routine from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Altas Perpsquad earned them 221.0 points to secure second place, while the Letran Cheering Squad finished third with 199.5 points.

After a minor early-routine stutter, the squad did not falter. They doubled their energy and executed their final stunts with precision, sealing a performance that left little doubt about who would once again claim the crown.

While the Perpetual Help Perpsquad delivered a clean and synchronized routine, the Chiefsquad opted for a high-risk, high-reward approach. Arellano absorbed a minor deduction but still maintained a comfortable 10-point lead, powered by their daring tosses and towering pyramids.

The Legarda-based squad began their reign after falling short to the Altas Perpsquad in Season 91. Determined to reclaim the throne, the Chiefsquad seized the championship in Season 92 and have since dominated the competition, sweeping the mat with seven straight titles from NCAA Season 92 to Season 101.

With their remarkable run, the Chiefsquad now look ahead to NCAA Season 102, aiming to extend their dominance and secure a ninth championship under the leadership of Coach Lucky San Juan.
