Te Rito Visits Arellano University: A Celebration of Cultural Exchange and Academic Partnership

Arellano University proudly welcomed representatives from Te Rito Maioha Early Childhood New Zealand in a vibrant program held on April 29, 2025, aimed at strengthening intercultural understanding and forging academic partnerships.

The event opened with a showcase of AU’s heritage, including institutional videos, an interfaith prayer, and spirited performances by College of Education and elementary students. Highlights included traditional dances such as “Sakuting” and “Maranao,” as well as an energetic rendition of “Mamang Sorbetero.”

Warm opening remarks were delivered by Chairman Cayco, followed by a heartfelt response from Ms. Kathy Wolfe of Te Rito Maioha. The visiting delegation was also treated to a cultural video presentation by Ms. Janet Salvatierra and a talk on the Philippine education system by Dr. Menguito.

Following the main program, attendees visited the Right Education NZ Ltd. pop-up booth, which offered comprehensive information on study opportunities in New Zealand, academic pathways, and student support services. The booth served as an interactive platform for attendees to explore international academic prospects and engage directly with representatives.

Immediately after the formal event, a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony was held, solidifying the partnership between Arellano University and Te Rito Maioha. This MOA outlines joint initiatives in teacher education, cultural exchange, and academic research.
