
November 2025, Makati City — The School of Computer Studies and the Computer Studies Society of Arellano University — Juan Sumulong Campus proudly represented the AU CHIEFS at the 14th IT Skills Olympics held at the University of Makati. It was a day packed with learning, technical skills, and friendly competition as students from different universities showed remarkable talent and teamwork.
The IT Skills Olympics is an intercollegiate event that brings together students from multiple institutions to compete in practical and theoretical IT challenges. Contests span programming, systems administration, networking, web design, quiz bees, and esports—providing a platform for both individual skills and team collaboration. The event took place on November 21, gathering an estimated 40–60 participating schools from across the Philippines. Well-known institutions such as PUP, UST, FEU Tech, AdU, UE, and many others joined the competition, making the field highly competitive and diverse. For many participants, the IT Skills Olympics is an opportunity to test their skills under pressure, learn from peers and industry-aligned judges, and make professional connections.

For the AU CHIEFS, this year’s win held special meaning — it was one of the first times that the School of Computer Studies and the Computer Studies Society secured a major victory for Arellano University. The atmosphere was electric, with everyone bursting with excitement and cheering loudly when their peers were announced as winners. This moment of shared joy became one of the delegation’s proudest memories.
